Wellness Wednesdays
Ages 18+ Only
Available for up to 12 people.
Wednesdays 10 am – 12 pm and 6 pm – 8 pm
Want a relaxing project without a stressy learning curve? Come make S L O W art with us at our Wellness Wednesdays. You will learn easy ways to make art that will calm your nervous system and bring a sense of relief.
You will get to try all kinds of different materials with a variety of projects which add new neuropathways for brain health. We use simple mindfulness techniques based on neuroscience.
Participants will:
- Learn exercises to shift focus away from concerns
- Experience the physiological phenomenon of FLOW
- Slow down their breathing pattern
- Calm their nervous system
What happens to your brain during this process?
- New neuropathways grow
- Neuroplasticity increases
- Self-confidence grows
- Self-esteem is improved
- Activate the pleasure center (literally gives you a type of a “high”)
Don’t think you can make art? This is for you because we guide you step by step through the process for a good outcome. It takes the fear and frustration out of the equation.
Even if you’ve had a bad experience with art, this could be just the thing to change your mind. Seriously, it’s really more about the process than it is about the end product. It DOES NOT require you to have any skills whatsoever.
Have the courage to be imperfect. Relax, slow down, and breathe deeply while moving your hands to let go of stress. That’s what this is about. It’s not about making a perfect picture.
And, you just might be surprised by how much fun you have.
We will go forward with this workshop if we have a minimum of three people, so invite your friends, colleagues, family, any other adult(s) up to the maximum of 12 people.
For cancellations, a 24-hour notice is required for a full refund.
You will get an email notice the day prior to the group if we have reached our minimum number of participants.

Break it Booth - Beauty from Brokenness
Ages 18+ Only
Available for up to eight people.
Fridays 6 pm-8 pm
Ever just want to break something? The Break-It-Booth is more than just a rage room.
Let go of frustrations, unhelpful thought patterns, and more, as you whip objects into the booth and experience the rush of release. You will then select beads, baubles and bling, which represent hope and healing, and then place all the pieces together to design a one-of-a-kind mosaic. The end result is a beautiful art piece that transforms a perspective, instilling hope and healing.

What is Well-Being?
Well-being is a construct; and well-being is not necessarily happiness. Well-being has five measurable elements (PERMA) that contribute to a fulfilling life.
P- Positive emotion, which focuses on cultivating joy and gratitude.
E- Engagement, where individuals become deeply absorbed in activities that challenge and energize them.
R- Relationships, emphasizing the importance of strong supportive connections with others.
M- Meaning, which involves finding purpose through contributing to something greater than oneself.
A- Achievement, centered around achieving goals and personal growth.
Together, these elements offer a holistic framework for improving mental and emotional health, fostering a balanced and meaningful life. – Martin Seligman, Flourish.
