1. Services
Art Lab Rx offers mental health services through licensed art therapists, including individual and group art therapy sessions, specialized wellness programs, workshops, retreats and mobile services through our Mobile Art Therapy Studio.
Our services are not meant to replace emergency medical care. If you are in crisis, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to request services for yourself.
- Parents or legal guardians must request services for children under 18.
- By using our services, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Appointments & Cancellations
- Sessions are by appointment only.
- We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Missed appointments without notice may result in a cancellation fee.
- Workshops and retreats may have separate cancellation policies which will be provided at registration.
4. Payment & Insurance
- Payment is due at time of service unless otherwise arranged.
- Some services may be eligible for insurance reimbursement; clients are responsible for confirming coverage with their insurance provider.
- Art Lab Rx reserves the right to change rates and will notify you of any changes.
5. Confidentiality
- All therapy sessions are confidential in accordance with HIPAA and professional ethical standards.
- Exceptions to confidentiality include situations involving imminent risk of harm to self or others, suspected abuse or legal requirements.
6. Website Use
- You agree not to misuse the site or attempt to disrupt its function.
- You may not copy, distribute or use any content without written permission from Art Lab Rx.
- Information on the website is for educational purposes only and not meant to replace professional medical advice or treatment.
7. Mobile Art Therapy Studio
Our Mobile Art Therapy Studio (Maggie) provides services at community locations, nonprofits, schools and workplaces. Participation in mobile sessions is subject to the same terms of confidentiality, payment and safety as in-office services.
8. Limitation of Liability
- Any injury, loss or damage resulting from participation in services or use of the website.
- Things beyond our control, such as third party websites, technology outages or unforeseen events.
9. Termination of Services
Art Lab Rx can terminate services if:
- You don’t follow the agreed upon guidelines.
- There is a safety concern for you, the therapist or others.
- Services are no longer clinically appropriate and we will provide a referral.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version will always be on our website with the updated effective date.
